In less than one week I’ll officially be leaving for launch! The thought of this absolutely blows my mind. It is so crazy to think that in about 4 days I will be saying goodbye to my friends and family to embark on this amazing journey that God has called me to. The time has just gone by in a flash and I could not be more excited to start this season of my life.
As I am going into this next part of my life I am really trying to make a habit of spending more intentional time with the Lord and getting to know Him personally, and growing the relationship we already have. I am also just trying to gather all the last minute items and get them all packed up and ready to go. The closer the launch date gets the harder it is for me to wrap my head around the fact that I will be leaving for nine months. I guess it’s like going to college but just not coming home for breaks. I know that I am going to get so much out of this trip and meet some people that will become family over the course of these next nine months, but not seeing my family and friends over the holidays might be the thing that is going to be hardest for me.
Even though it’s not going to be easy to say those goodbyes I am beyond excited for the hellos. I cannot wait to meet the team in just a few short days!!!!! It is going to be the journey of a lifetime and I can’t wait to experience it with you guys! See you seen gap year!!! 🙂
Also I will be updating on here throughout the race so you can stay up to date on what is going on in the field, but I will not be posting on social media until I get back. Needing a little detox to focus on the Lord and being present. Much love!! <3
